Thanks for saying hello at NCASC 2022

Last week we made our way up to Manchester to exhibit at NCASC 2022 (National Children and Adult Services Conference). Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello to us, we had some brilliant conversations with subject matter experts about the provision of effective services and the future of adult social care.
Looking Local were delighted to attend to discuss our self-led digital platforms within the adult social care sphere, and how they are helping local authorities across the country in dealing with individuals at their front door needing assessments for care.
Looking Local – co-owned by Kirklees Council (West Yorkshire) – are responsible for developing BetterCare Finance (financial assessments for care) and BetterCare Support (care and support assessments). Both products are fully digital, focusing on end-users and giving them the ability to completely self-serve their Financial and care & support assessments. These products are delivering measurable financial and efficiency savings for multiple local authorities across the country. These platforms provide local authorities with the ability to keep pace with the expected significant increase in assessments with the forthcoming reforms.
Also at NCASC 2022, we discussed our latest project – a digital personal budget & care cap account platform co-fund (co-funded by Halton, Kirklees, Lincolnshire and Walsall). This is a digital platform for staff to automate the production of an individuals’ IPB / PB and for citizens to self-serve & track their spend towards their cap through their care account. You can read more information about the platform here and register your interest – https://about.lookinglocal.gov.uk/bettercare-account/
Thank you to everyone who came and chatted with us, it was great to put some faces to names! Please do get in contact with us if you’d like to find out more about how self-led digital platforms can help your local authority with the upcoming charging reform.
