Looking Local launch partnership with Bridgit Care

Looking Local are pleased to announce their partnership with Bridgit Care’s Digital Carer Support Service.

Bridgit Care is a leading provider of technology for carers – helping local authorities and the NHS with carer innovation and utilising digital-first to offer advice and guidance and connect and support families.

With many years of experience in supporting carers, Bridgit Care has launched a Digital Carer Support Service which, much like Looking Local’s BetterCare suite, encourages users to self-assess their needs in order to get the best possible outcomes in a timely manner.

Commenting on the platform, Darren Crombie, Founder of Bridgit Care, said “we recognise the equal importance of supporting carers as well as the people they care for, the Digital Carers Support Service platform helps local authorities to provide care and support to their unpaid carers. This is achieved through the carer’s needs assessment along with a host of supporting materials to look after their wellbeing and enable them to lead as normal a life as possible outside of their caring role.”

Bridgit Care’s Digital Carer Support Service will interface with Looking Local’s digital care and support self-assessment platform, BetterCare Support, in order to ensure that both the individual and their carer are able to access the care and support they need.

Looking Local’s focus is very much on putting service users at the heart of their adult social care journey – and enabling them to access their care services digitally, from their initial care and support assessment through to their resulting care plan – all within a digital front door.

Guy Giles, Managing Director of Looking Local, added “we are excited to be partnering with Bridgit Care to ensure local authorities are able to provide the carers in their area with the ability to digitally self-serve their needs. Ensuring that unpaid carers have proper support and receive the best possible outcomes will have a positive ripple effect to the people they are caring for. This will also provide councils with measurable savings (both financial and efficiency) and ensure they have the resources to offer efficient services to their citizens at a difficult time.”
